Wren is someone with an everlasting passion for choral singing and no formal music education. Has been involved in every LOpSoc production between 2014 and 2017. Webmaster for the society in 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18, was also the person who started the LOpSoc tradition of vocal workshops, leading them between 2015 and 2017.
Additional roles in the society include: producer in H.M.S. Has also received the society's Professor Lilley award (2016) and Life Membership award (2017) for contributions to the society.
After graduating from the society, could often be found lurking in the the back of the Annex with the LOpSoc camera on Saturday performances. However, 2020/21 held something else in store. With the society moving online for the year, Wren returned to the society emotely, arranging and rehearsing a "chorus react" medley of songs from G&S operettas (you can listen to it here). Also directed and edited the remote Double Feature 2021, which resulted in audio-drama recordings of Cox and Box and The Carp. You can listen to those at https://m.soundcloud.com/lopsoc .
A fitting encore and farewell to the society. LOpSoc was a welcoming family in a strange place, and Wren will forever treasure the memories and friends made here.
