Iolanthe was performed by LOpSoc in August 2015 at the 22nd International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, following its successful run in Southampton earlier in 2015.
One of LOpSoc's more radical productions, this was a modernisation of the G&S operetta, updated to 1982 and gender-swapped.
The production followed the success of Pirates of Penzance 2014 (Harrogate), Iolanthe went on to win 3 awards: Best Director, Best Costumes and Best Character Actress.
